These past few weeks have certainly been a challenging time for many of us, especially being from the hospitality industry, and our Care Home Chefs.
Although, the one thing that has certainly kept my spirits up, is the work ethic and compassion of many of our agency Chefs here at Back-2-Front.
Being a Chef Agency who specialises in Care Home Chefs, it has certainly been a time where the Care Homes have needed support from our Chefs and their cooking skills.
Over the next few weeks, I wanted to write a few important words about some key workers, who without their hard work 1000’s of Elderly people in Care homes would not be fed, enabling them to keep up their strength and keep their spirits high during the Coronavirus outbreak.
This week I would like to bring attention to Konstantinos, who stepped into a Care Home that had a suspected COVID-19 case, at very short notice, then continued to work a full week, to provide consistency to the home in their time of need.
The Care home has sung his praises for always being efficient (one of our values) and just getting on with the job in hand.
Konstantinos has also picked up shifts that meant he traveled for over an hour to get to a homeless hostel, with no extra money to cover his travel, all to make sure that these vulnerable homeless people were fed a cooked meal.
Not all Chefs are made from the same cloth, however, when you work with Chefs like Konstantinos you soon realise that the world is a wonderful place.
Well Done Chef.
100’s of people are thankful for your help during this challenging time.
