The Hot Seat with Chloe Cann

In this issue we are joined by none other than Back-2-Front Director, Chloe Cann. We caught up with her in between one of her many roles…

Chloe started in the catering industry at age 15, working for a well known Pizza chain. Over seven years, Chloe worked in the industry, undertaking a number of different roles including, bar tender, waitress, kitchen assistant up through to shift manager and front of house trainer.

Chloe then studied at the University of the West of England, undertaking a Systems degree, before working for five years as a systems analyst at Lloyds Banking Group. In 2009 Chloe started Back 2 Front with her husband, Pete.

Loves…

‘I love trying new restaurants and new foods. As much as I love my two children, it’s great to book a babysitter and enjoy the opportunity to relax, drink wine and not worry about the kids sticking napkins up their nose!’

Favourite Place…

‘I have some wonderful memories of spending time in Thailand with Pete and friends. I remember the great food, wonderful people and all round happy and peaceful vibe. But my happiest memory of Thailand is getting married to Pete on a beautiful beach.’

Favourite Recipe…

‘I’m not very good at sticking to recipes and usually just wing it. At the moment I don’t have a lot of time to experiment with my cooking. But if I’m going to follow one recipe, it would be for Yorkshire Pudding. Experimenting with Yorkies is not a good idea, especially when I’m making them!’

Most Used Word at Work…

‘I’m always using the word ‘Babs’ in the office. Not because I love Barbara Windsor; it’s the name of Back 2 Front’s booking system!’

Hopes for 2016…

‘To find a gap in the schedule for a little ‘me’ time. Just
a couple of hours where I can take off my ‘Mum’ and ‘Company Director’ hats and be myself.’
